width main content

Hello,
Please check http://www.colorenshaves.nl/wp/
The layerslider has a width of 1210 px
The main content (black colorsection) has a code to make this also 1210px:
.responsive .container {
max-width: 1210px;
}
But it’s not working. What am I doing wrong? What I want is that the colorsection (and all other content I will add soon) is exactly aligned underneath the photo.
