I have a large page that is getting a lot of traffic and my bandwidth is going through the roof. Before I get a nasty email from WP Engine, I need to figure out how to fix it. I have already compressed photos etc and I was thinking a “load more” button about 1/3 down would be a good option. Is there any way to do this with Enfold?
Thanks,

Thank you for the inquiry.
There are elements with this option, such as the Masonry element or pagination for Blog Posts, but it is not available for an entire page. For text elements, you can use the Fold/Unfold option but it may not have any significant effect on performance. If you have a fairly large homepage, consider moving some content to subpages and reduce the use of images. If you can provide the site URL, we’ll try to check the site further.

It’s a huge page with self-hosted video. Photos are compressed as is self hosted video (can’t move to Vimeo hosted wallpaper background yet) but it’s still 5 MB or so. Most of the people viewing the page likely just watch the video and then bounce, so would be great if I could add a “load more” banner to reduce the payload of loading all those images.
Open to any suggestions!

Thank you for the info.
We are still getting the same error from cloudflare.
As mentioned above, it’s not possible to add a “Load More” feature to the entire page itself. You may want to consider moving some elements, especially images and embedded codes, to the subpages. This should help reduce the amount of content on the main page and improve loading speed.

Thanks,
RobJuly 29, 2025 at 6:16 am #1487317Hi,
We are still unable to access the page due to Cloudflare. Unfortunately, this “load more” button for an entire page is not available by default. You may need to hire a freelance developer or contact Codeable for this type of customization.
Thank you for understanding.

July 30, 2025 at 4:36 pm #1487393Hi 007, good to see you after all these years.
Yes, it does amount to that. Ironically, these pages do have excellent SEO – but they are huge and at some point that will change, and WP Engine is threating me with bandwidth overages. One of them was posted in a large newspaper and our traffic – and bandwidth – went crazy. I would love to use “load more” in the gallery, but when you do that, the “slide show” only shows the items that were initially loaded. I would love to do a “load more” one page in, which should not be such a big deal, but again that functionality does not seem to exist (surprising). i have found “lazy load” to be buggy and problematic.Do you have any suggestions?
Thanks,
