Hello,
I can no longer edit pages on the back end of markgutkin.com. I click on edit and it goes to the edit page and the Avia tool just spins and spins. I cannot click “default editor” button either. Specifically the contact form is not working on markgutkin.com/contact. Also, on the theme settings page, the sub-categories are not even showing up. I can roll over “Theme Options” at the top to get to them but it’s suspicious. Any ideas? I have not use child themes so re-installing would be hugely problematic. Can I create a child theme from what’s up there? Please help! Thank you!
with gratitude
Corti CooperJanuary 14, 2015 at 4:21 pm #379494Hi CortiCoop!
You are currently using a very old version of Enfold which is not compatible with WordPress version you are using. Please update Enfold to the latest version 3.0.4 preferably via FTP – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 14, 2015 at 7:18 pm #379676Thank you! Any advice on how to not lose all my settings as I don’t have a child theme?
January 14, 2015 at 7:23 pm #379686Hey!
If all your customization were done via the Theme Settings you have nothing to worry about, just make sure to keep the same theme folder name when updating.
Cheers!
JosueJanuary 18, 2015 at 3:47 am #381360Hi! My customization was not all done through the theme – a fair amount of it was done in the code. I found the below article. Could I convert the current theme to a child theme and then upload the current enfold version? Let me know. Thank you so much!

January 19, 2015 at 4:23 pm #381867Hey!
Which files did you edit? You can download pre-built Enfold child theme here – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/downloads/ and move your modified files to your child theme. Please also see – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/add-new-or-replace-advanced-layout-builder-elements-from-child-theme/
