    Hi,

Is it possible to link images in a masonry gallery to a specific URL instead of linking to the blog post where the picture is placed?

    #363368

Anyone who can help me please?

    #363848

    Hey!

When you select the images you want to use for the Masonry Gallery there is an option that says, “Custom Link”, where you can insert your URL.

But it sounds like your talking about the Masonry element and not the Masonry Gallery. Unfortunately there is not an option for this currently but you can create a feature request here, https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/.

    Regards,
    Elliott

    Hi there Enfold Support,

Strange but at my Enfold site http://www.workindk.com/#login I try to use the Masonry Galery Custom link feature, as you can see, to point at eg. http://www.workindkdatabase.com, but the link points at: http://www.workindk.com/www.workindkdatabase.com

    Any suggestions?

    Pic link

    Best regards
    Niels

    Hi,
we also got a problem with the masonry-gallery.
We tried to add a masonry-gallery with same images to different pages.

One page should link to anothe page so we used the custom link feature.
The other Page should open the image into a lightbox but also got the custom-link
it seems that the links are globaly defined for every masonry-gallery image if you add one.

how can we use the 2 different galleries with same images and different actions?

    Thank you!

I’m also looking for a solution to this.

Enfold Team, please let us know if this is possible. hopefully we don’t have to upload duplicate images into the Media library if we simply want to reuse an image in different masonry galleries on different pages.

For example, on one page I have a masonry gallery that uses an image which I’ve put a custom link on that takes the viewer to a specific page. On a separate page I have another masonry gallery that I’m using the same image but I want the image to open in a lightbox. Unless I’m doing something wrong, that isn’t possible.

    Please advise.

    Thanks!

    Was this resolved?

    Hi,

The user didn’t reply but the suggestion above should fix the issue. You should use the complete url in the custom link field.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

thank you – i tested it and it does not help.
the problem is that the link is store at the picture themself – you can see the link if you klick into the media-galerie and select the image – the link will be added globaly.

so if you insert the image again, the link again will be used with or without http/https.

so the link to the gallery should be only for the one insert, not global. so you can use multiple links and also use lightbox-views to get the details.
a given link in the wordpress media gallerie should be ignored.

may you update it in the future?
    Kind regards!

    Hi Wandelschoenenexperts,

You should be able to achieve something similar using the Tab Section element, the links don’t open new pages though.

    Hi,

my link on masonry right but it works only with a second click, at first click it doesn’t work, unfotunately the site is under construction.

    Could you help me?

    Thank you and best Regards

    #1189945

    Hi,

That is the default behavior on mobile view. Because there is no hover state, the first tap will trigger the overlay and the second one will open the link. You have to disable the overlay if you prefer to trigger the link on the first tap.

If you need help, please open a new thread and post the details in the private field so that we can check the page with the masonry element.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
