I took over web deveklopment for a customer that uses the Enfold theme. Since the previous web developer is not available any more we have no access to the previously purchesed license. Is there any way to gain access again (maybe based on the web URL the theme is licensed to)?

    Cheers, Timo

    Hey Timo,

We can’t do that for you unfortunately, but Envato might be able to do it if you have proof of purchase?

    Best regards,

OK, it seems I have to purches a new license. WIll do so. Currently we are using version 4.5.3 – with a child theme. Will installing verison 5.0 smoothly integrate the existing child theme or do I have to expect significant programming efforts when upgrading the theme? Are there any recommendations on how to update properly to 5.0 from a significantly older version?
    Cheers, Timoi

    Hi Timoi,

In general, updates are pretty smooth but since you are using a child theme, you may need to update files on your child theme to make sure everything is working as expected.

If files such as header.php or footer.php are modified on the child theme, you may need to update them by simply copying a fresh version of the file from parent theme and re-applying the modifications on child theme. In case you do not know what modifications were made on the files, you could let us know which files you have on your child theme and we could share copies from version 4.5.3 so you can compare the difference :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit
