Our webpage has 1200 questions and answers from youths. We would like to display a different version of the site to users under 15 years old and to users over 15 years old. Most content should be visible to all age groups, but some content should only be visible to either those under or over 15. Since the blog section elements only can display posts from selected categories, and not based on tag, it does not seem to a be a solution to add a two tags “Under 15” and “Over 15”. Would you recommend to add “Under 15” and “Over 15” as two top categories and then add most articles in both categories? Currently, all the 1200 questions are divided into 12 categories.
Hey guttogjente,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Have you tried displaying posts from a custom taxonomy? You can set the Blog Posts element to display posts with a certain post tag. Edit the element, set the “Do you want to display blog posts?” to the second option and in the “Which Entries?” dropdown, select “Post Tag”.
Best regards,
Ismael
Thanks for making me aware of the possibility to display blog posts from a certain tag. But since we have 1200 questions, we can not only display posts from the tag “Under 15”, We must also be able to let the user select a category (and possibly a subcategory). In case, maybe I should use a plugin like Search & Filter? Do you know if it works well with Enfold?
Hi,
Yes, you may need to use another plugin for this because the blog posts element doesn’t have a category filter by default.
Have you seen the masonry element? It has a category sort option, but I’m not sure if that would be enough for your requirement.
Thanks for the update.
Best regards,
Ismael
