    Hi all,

My left sidebar on this page is not showing: http://everaardtechniek.nl/occasions/, however it is on the individual portfolio posts like here: http://everaardtechniek.nl/portfolio-item/john-deere-6830-2010-p/

Both are set to “Left Sidebar” / “Sidebar Pages” in the page settings. I’m using a custom menu widget in the sidebar with some custom CSS styling. However, the CSS doesn’t appear to be interfering as I tested this without the custom CSS in there.

It’s odd that one page shows it but the other doesn’t.

The changed happened when I updated wordpress & enfold, before both of these pages were showing the sidebar correctly.

    Thanks in advance,
    Marien

    Hi,

It is working when we created a test page (http://everaardtechniek.nl/test-sidebar/). What happens if you remove the empty portfolio grid elements? Some portfolio categories are empty. And note that full width elements such as the grid row or color sections will push the sidebar underneath them. Remove the grid row at the very bottom of the page temporarily as well.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

The grid row I had at the bottom of the page is exactly what was wrong, good catch and thank you for taking time to look into my mistake :)

New problem, now that I’ve reintroduced the sidebar on the http://everaardtechniek.nl/occasions/ it doesn’t match the CSS styles I’ve added to look like http://everaardtechniek.nl/test-sidebar/ . Perhaps something on the occasions page is conflicting with it?

Also, is it possible to have the sticky sidebar start being fixed at a certain point when scrolling down? For example, I don’t want the sidebar to stick and move with the page until the user has reached a certain point on the page when scrolling. In other words can I delay when the sticky left sidebar starts sticking?

    Thanks!

Fixed the differences of sidebar appearance!

Turns out the custom menu I had made for the occasions inner pages had full links to bring you back to the correct position on the main occasion page. However, the main occasion page relies on anchors not links, so I needed to use a new custom menu with only anchor links being used.

So for anyone using anchors make a note of this.

So now that leaves the sticky header scroll behavior I mentioned, if you could help me with that would be awesome.

This is possible but this is not an available option yet. You might want to contact codeable for that: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

What’s the issue with the “sticky header” again? I reviewed the whole thread but I can’t find anything about it.

Check out the link below Ismael. The sidebar on the right only starts sticking when the user has scrolled a certain amount down the page. In the case of my sticky bar it sticks right away, which I want to delay a bit like the link shows.

    Hi!

Like I said in my previous post, this is possible but this will require modifications that are outside the scope of support. In the example above, there are actually two sidebars, one is hidden on scroll and the actual “fixed” sidebar is outside the “center” wrapper.

    Ismael

Hey Ismael. I never replied, my apologies!

No worries, I understand the limitations. I was just clarifying on your question if it was possible. I’ll live with how it is now as it doesn’t look bad :)

    Thanks for the wonderful support

    Hi schnippel,

I’m not sure I understand you post, your sidebar seems to display fine on my end?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
