Hello,
Is it possible to display a left and right widget area on blog posts without using the advanced layout editor?
I understand it’s possible with the advanced layout editor, but am working with a team of writers who might not remember to implement the advanced layout editor (and select the right template) every time they write an article.
I’m trying to display ads (via the widget area) on both the left and right side of the content.
Thanks,
nick

It likely possible but you would probably need to create a new template for a page like that, using the Layout Builder is by far the easier option.
Best regards,
RikardJune 11, 2017 at 8:48 pm #806651Hey Rikard – Is it possible to make the creation of a new blog post default to the Advanced layout builder and one template inparticular? I want to make it as easy and hassle free for the writers as possible.
June 14, 2017 at 1:54 pm #807968Hi Nick,
You can create a template and when authors create a new post, they load that template and keep working on the post.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

Yeah. I know that is an option. I was just wondering if there was a way to default to this view for new blog posts. Just trying to make it easy on them.

Thanks for answer our questions!
To change the default option is necessary some changes in the theme core, and to accomplish this, you need to hire a freelancer.
