Hello,
thank you for adding lazy loading to enfold.
I am looking after an old site someone else built and after updating to wp 5.5.1 and the latest enfold theme I enabled lazy loading for images but google page insights is not picking this up… see link in the private field.
My previous big issue was the masonry gallery which now seems to work fine with what appears to be a new option on the advanced tab with enfold.
much further further down my site’s page however there are background images which google pagespeed claims are not being deferred and the TTI is woeful so I am trying to fix this.
Perhaps I missed something ?
Do I need to add something to this color section which has a background image (maybe as a custom ID attribute or Custom CSS class) to get it to defer this image ?
I have tried this with and without cache – at the moment I left WP Super Cache onthe site you see is just a test site we can try anything on it.

Victoria…just an update the link you provided and code snippets in it had no effect(as expected given I am dealing with background images) and google lighthouse was still complaining about all the need to defer all the background images in the color sections.
Now here is something weird.
After I gave up and moved on to decided to the footer page – which in this case has a google map; changing the way google maps work to user must accept to show google maps; the problem went away.
feels like there must be an incompatibility with the google maps section and lazy load; I have a test system in place in case you want to follow up.
