The title, author, and other data for my blog post are not showing up on the single page, and I just found out that it is because I used the Layout Builder and so it’s being treated as a regular page. I have a lot of photos for the blog, so it made sense to use a gallery for them. This seems like a serious limitation — are there plans on fixing it?

Is there something else I can do to make it work, such as editing the single.php file? If so, what would the edits be?

    Thanks,
    BR

    Hey braymond64,

There are ways around the behaviour yes, you can use the Magic Wand tool to import layout builder element as shortcode for example. That way you can use the default editor in WordPress. You should also be able to use the layout builder as usual, but switch to the default editor once you are ready to save. That should also bring in the “default” layout.

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard,

Switching to the default editor wiped out the entire post. But, I did recreate it from a backup and use the magic wand for the graphic elements. I’d never actually used that before. So the blog is working fine now!

Thank you so much for your quick response.
