I have the same problem I’ve seen in other posts. The Layout Builder will not load on my frontpage (tarynwrites.com/frontpage). The spinner just keeps going and nothing shows up. I can’t edit the page at all. I’ve already tried deleting and disabling all add-ons, clearing the browser cache, reloading the page multiple times, etc. I am not a programmer so I am hesitant to do anything major to the code without checking in first.

I see on some other threads that custom HTML may be causing the issue. But unfortunately I can’t check my HTML because I can’t edit the page at all. Any thoughts or advice? Thanks so much for your help.

    Hey better_in_violet,

Please enable debug mode by adding the code provided in this link to your functions.php file which can be accessed from Appearance > Editor

This lets you view the shortcode for all the page elements from where you can check the HTML.

If you still have any issue please post us your login credentials in private content area so we can take a closer look at the issue.

    Best regards,
    Vinay

    Hi again,

I enabled the debug mode and looked through the shortcode. Granted my coding abilities are limited but I wasn’t able to see any glaring mistakes. I’m going to post my login credentials in the private content area so you can check out the site.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update.

This is what we get in the console when we try to edit the page.

    https://tarynwrites.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php 403 (Forbidden)

Please ask your hosting provider if the “admin-ajax.php” file is being blacklisted by the “mod_security” rule. The access to the file is currently forbidden, which is why the builder is not working.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi again,

Thanks for your help. After talking with my posting provider I believe the issue is solved.

So can I just remove the code from the .php file to disable debug mode?
