the problem is that it has restored the site to an old version, the builder is freezing and I cannot build or edit the page, the auto save will not restore previous versions – any thoughts?

Please try de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps. Also please make sure that you are using the latest version of Enfold which is 3.0.4 – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

I am having the same issues…. I did deactivate all plugins and no luck. I am also running 2.8.1, which says is up to date.
When I go to this page – http://www.drtracycampbell.com/cosmetics/ – it just has a circle loading icon and it won’t allow me to make any changes to the body copy.
