I have several Enfold websites, and all three look the same, only their text and some images are different.

I learned that it is possible to export a LayerSlider WP Slider and Import it as well.

I wanted to do this across two of my websites, so I Exported from one of them (3dvisuals.co.uk) and tried to import that zip file into my other website (3drenderingservices.co.uk).

I get an error saying “This Page isn’t working 3drenderingservices.co.uk is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500.”.

I checked the zip file, it opened fine, it isn’t corrupted or anything like that.

Does the Slider need to already exist in the target website I am importing into ? (I tried it with both with and without it already existing inside) – but for me, it made no difference.

The ONLY time the Import DID work was when I tried exporting and importing to/from the SAME website (i.e. NOT from one website into a different one).

Could that be the issue ? That you can’t do it across websites ? As I say, these two websites are literally identical.

    Many thanks for your assistance.

Both websites are on the same identical versions of WordPress (which I cannot tell which it is exactly as I can only see that I can upgrade to Version 5.0.3). Enfold is version 4.4.1 on both websites (I am holding off of updating Enfold due to issues I’ve already seen with the latest one regarding the user-friendly interface being lost when I last tried (and backed out)).

    Hey Jez,

Which version of php are you running?

Can you please check server log for error?

    Best regards,

    Hi Victoria,

    Thanks for getting in touch.

I don’t know how to find out either the version of php, or how/where to check the server log for the error. Where is that log to be found ?

    Many thanks.

    Hope you can help :)

    Thank you.

    Oh, and this was a message that appeared in WP during that Import of the LayerSlider (this message was not in the err log);

Fatal Error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 27353831 bytes) in /var/www/vhosts/3drenderingservices.co.uk/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/vendor/wordfence/wf-waf/src/lib/rules.php on line 1601

I will disable Wordfence and retry

    #1056864

    Disabling Wordfence and trying to Import that LayerSlider into my website gave this error in WP;

    “Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.

Please contact the server administrator, root@localhost and inform them of the time the error occurred, and anything you might have done that may have caused the error.

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. What happens if you increase the memory allocated to PHP on your installation? http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP

Also, you should probably consider updating your PHP version since PHP 5.6 and 7.0 are not getting any more security updates.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    #1057242

    Hi,

The memory allocated to the PHP is already very high, 128Mb.

However….. I did update the version of PHP to 7.0.33 and it has ‘partially’ worked !

It has reported that the LayerSlider has imported, however, that Slider is empty :( With no slides, no preview, no layers or anything.

So, wondering now what could be the problem here now ?

    #1057401

    Hi 3drenders.co.uk,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    #1057405

    Hi Victoria,

I sent you the details to log in but I cannot see that here on my screen so I’m not sure the ‘Private Content’ I sent has actually worked.

Please can you confirm, do i need to also check the checkbox for “Set as private reply” ? As that is what I did

    Here it is;

    Hi3drenders.co.uk,

    #1057442

Thanks Victoria, I’ve updated all the PHP settings I can increase, to their maximum (without having to call up and speak to my hosting company).

I think it might be working now, it’s currently uploading and taking a long time to do that (it’s a 27mb zip file) – it is timing out with a “504 Gateway Time-out”.

I will call my hosting company in the morning and get them to manually increase all those settings to the very maximum they will allow (I can only increase them as far as 2minutes, which seems to not be enough time).

Many thanks for all your help.

    Kindest regards,

    Jez

    Hi Jez,

Thanks for the update, we’ll keep the thread open in case you should need any further help from us.

    Best regards,

    #1057663

    Hi,

I have tried this again, and this time it doesn’t fail and doesn’t in fact do anything. Basically it is not importing it at all.

Feel free to try again yourselves using the log-in information you already have.

    Many thanks.

    Hi,
