Looks like there are some issues with WP Layerslider. My client has just informed me that the logo on the homepage disappears if he goes from the contact page (or any other) back to the homepage while viewing the site in Explorer 11. I also noticed on my iPad the logo doesn’t even show up when viewing on chrome IOS Ver 3

I just upgraded the theme to the 2.4.5 and the issue persists.
I actually have WP Layerslider as a standalone plugin and they told me that it could be that the Layerslider WP needs to upgraded to the latest version. So I’m going to wait for your response before i do anything. Ideally it would be nice to have a new Theme upgrade with the latest Layerslider WP.
Thanks

January 14, 2014 at 6:17 am #209327Hi Snerp!
Is this the logo? http://rockwoodcreations.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/04/no_logo1.png
Looks like an empty image from here.
Best regards,
JosueJanuary 14, 2014 at 6:30 am #209334No that is a transparent png placer which has nothing to do with the layer slider. The logo is a layer in the layer wp slider as I said in my post.
January 14, 2014 at 8:55 am #209345Hi!
Have you disabled the theme version of LayerSlider? Both the stand alone plugin and the theme’s included version can not be running at the same time without issue.
If there is an issue with the standalone plugin there isn’t anything that we would be able to do from our end unfortunately.
Cheers!
DevinJanuary 14, 2014 at 6:48 pm #209604I’ve noticed that the theme automatically loads the latest version of layer slider wp, so it is the latest version. So should I now contact the developer of layer slider wp? or could this be a theme conflict with the layer slider?
January 14, 2014 at 6:59 pm #209609Hi!
Did you install the LayerSlider as a standalone plugin? Please deactivate the theme’s default LayerSlider using this on functions.php, find this code on line 3:
global $avia_config;
Below, add this code to deactivate the plugin:
add_theme_support('deactivate_layerslider');
Best regards,
IsmaelJanuary 20, 2014 at 2:07 am #212051Ok I deactivated the LayerSlider and added the standalone latest version of LayerSlider v. 5.0.2. I got the same results. Chrome and Explorer on the ipad and iphone are still not loading the logo. Not sure now what to do.
January 20, 2014 at 3:41 am #212066January 20, 2014 at 3:52 am #212074No I don’t have a cache plugin and this happens on Explorer 8, 9 and 10
January 20, 2014 at 4:31 am #212094Here is a link to a vid of what I see on my ipad using the latest version of Chrome.
January 20, 2014 at 5:11 am #212098Actually this is getting nowhere so I’m just sticking to a basic slider with little to no animations as this seems to work. Too bad, would have been cool to have this work across all browsers and mobile platforms.
Thanks.
