Hi there! The transition settings in the LayerSlider on my website have been erased in my Enfold theme. I have been regularly updating both child and parent themes. There is a message about the LayerSlider that says:
“An update is available for LayerSlider WP!
You have version 5.6.8. The latest version is 5.6.9.
New releases contain new features, bug fixes and various improvements across the entire plugin. Set up auto-updates to upgrade to this new version, or request it from the author of your theme if you’ve received LayerSlider from them.”Is there an update to 5.6.9 available? Is it possible to retrieve the original transitions?
See private content for site info.

update will come with a new Enfold update. Sounds to me as you would need to go for a backup.
Best regards,

Thanks for the quick response. Do you know when a new Enfold update will be available? Will the layerslider settings be erased with every update? Is there a way to get the original settings without restoring a backup?

July 25, 2016 at 7:36 pm #664784Hi!
Kriesi is working hard to get it release as soon as possible, with a lot of fixes and new inputs and demos.
Thanks a lot for your patience and understanding.Best regards,
BasilisJuly 27, 2016 at 12:16 am #665543Thanks, Basilis. I love this theme, have it for my own website and have customized it for a client. I want to buy another license for another client, but if I constantly have to reset the transitions, that will be a deal breaker. It would help to know whether the fix will ensure the the transition settings are not erased with each new update before I purchase another license.
Also, which file contains the transition settings? I don’t want to do a total db restore. If I can fix one (or just a few) files, that would be great.
July 27, 2016 at 12:36 am #665547Hi All,
The other issue with my layersliders is that for all but the home page I had used a slider template with demo images (the green leaves) that were in an earlier version of Enfold. In addition to the transitions, the links to the images are all erased in the updated version of Enfold. Can anyone there take a look at my site pages to see which demo template I used and either fix the issue or send me all of the settings and links? I have provided my site info again for your convenience in the private content.
I would appreciate any help you can give to fix this issue. Otherwise is will take me a very long time to fix it, as well as any issues with my client’s website.
July 29, 2016 at 3:05 am #666460Hi,
The transition settings should stay intact after the update. What is the version of the theme prior to the latest update? We encountered this issue before and it turned out that the user updated from a very old version of the theme which contains an old version of the layer slider plugin. The user had to configure the transition settings manually. In the future, before any theme update, export all sliders so that you have a backup in case this issue happens again.
Best regards,
IsmaelAugust 2, 2016 at 8:32 pm #667816Hi Ismael, thanks for your post. I have routinely updated my version of Enfold as each update has become available, so that is not the issue with my site. Any ideas how I can retrieve the layerslider settings?

VinaySeptember 6, 2016 at 9:12 pm #682846Hello, I have the same problem as Valerie. !
It is soo frustrating that all my transition settings has been lost after an update.
How do you export sliders? And also, how do I import back just my sliders from past backups??
Very grateful if you can tell me this asap. I have to fix my site asap… this has wasted me ALLOT of time fixing.
Thank you.
Wesley.
