Hi, my layerslider slides seem to overlap. I’ve selected a duration of 0 on all the layers on ending transition and have set every layer to be visible until end of slide (default) but in the front end they’re really muddled with things staying on from the last slide on top of the next.
Hard to send a link as normal unless you’re happy to adjust hosts file (due to the way we’re building) so I’m hoping you can give some generic advice on what needs to change on the settings so that everything goes at the end of one slide before the next starts building.
April 4, 2017 at 8:07 am #771571Hey andrea,
We’ve release a few updates lately, are you running the latest version of the theme (4.0.5)? If not then please try updating: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
Best regards,
RikardApril 4, 2017 at 2:05 pm #771769Hi, i’ve updated to the latest version of the theme, but still having the slides overlapping in layerslider. I’m including private links to a screenshot of how it looks plus a screenshot of the opening transition and ending transition settings. I’d be very grateful if you could suggest how i can amend these settings to stop the slides overlapping. I have set it to have every layer visible until end of slide and ending transition is 0 – but they do seem to stray into the next slide and I can’t work out why.
April 6, 2017 at 4:46 pm #773317Hi ac,
Could you give us the page where you have this issue and temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look.

VictoriaApril 6, 2017 at 4:59 pm #773329Unfortunately due to the way we’re building the site, you’d need to adjust the hosts file as well – are you OK to do that? If not, i’ll have to launch the site with a static layerslider, then you can definitely have a link when it’s live on the new hosting.
April 8, 2017 at 7:11 am #774324Hi,
Editing host files is not one of our favourite past times so we’d prefer if you could show us something on a live server, would you be able to do that?
Best regards,
RikardApril 11, 2017 at 10:51 am #775933Hi, the site is now live and no longer on hosts file.
I’ve ‘hidden’ the 2nd layer of the layerslider for now. Could you please take a look at how to set the transition so that one slide fully goes and doesn’t overlap the next one. Feel free to ‘unhide’ slide 2 when it’s working.
thanks so much.
April 14, 2017 at 6:59 pm #777970Hi,
I can’t see any overlapping or any other issues on the link you’ve provided. Also your screenshots from above do not work anymore. Could you fix the issue already?
Best regards,
AndyApril 14, 2017 at 7:15 pm #777989Hi, the slides are still overlapping, but as I needed to launch it, I’ve ‘hidden’ the 2nd layer of the layerslider for now. If you unhide the 2nd slide you’ll see them overlap.
I took the screenshots down now that the site is live as you can see it there.
thanks so much.April 14, 2017 at 9:46 pm #778078I do still want the slideshow to work if you can help me stop the text from overlapping on the next slide please. If you can adjust it please feel free to publish it with the 2 slides.
April 17, 2017 at 11:00 am #778614Hi,
please provide us a precise link of a test page where we can see the issue.

AndyApril 17, 2017 at 11:30 am #778627Hi, i’ve created a duplicate of the slider called ‘home copy’ and put it in a separate page so you can see it. This is the same slider but with the 2nd slide unhidden, so that you can see the overlapping problem.
the main slider is called ‘home’ and that has the 2nd slide hidden as it’s live on the home page.
April 17, 2017 at 12:21 pm #778646Hi,
thank you! I checked it and it looks good to me: http://i.imgur.com/3DbCcwg.png
I can’t see any overlapping.Best regards,
AndyApril 17, 2017 at 12:48 pm #778657Hi Andy, the slides overlap when the transitions start – see screenshots below. we end up with both images and both lots of text at the same time.
April 17, 2017 at 1:15 pm #778670Hi,
this does not happen for me. After the transition everything looks fine to me, like I showed you on my screenshot. The first Slide fades away how it’s supposed to fade away, instead of staying. Please check on another computer as well.
Best regards,
AndyApril 17, 2017 at 4:00 pm #778779I’ve tried chrome and firefox, PC and mac and mobile and have the same problem.
April 18, 2017 at 3:23 pm #779364Hi,
you just need to find the right transition settings for your layerslide, so both slides have enough time to fade away without the next slide to come in already. Check out their documentation: https://support.kreaturamedia.com/docs/layersliderwp/documentation.html#builder-layer-transitions
I suggest you play with different values until it fits well for you.
Best regards,
Andy -
