The LayerSlider stopped working properly after updating to the latest enfold (4.1.2)
1) Edits made to my existing homepage slider won’t “take”. I can make the edits… save the edits, but when I go to view the slider the edits aren’t there. When I go back to edit the slider, the edits aren’t there.
2) When I click to add a new slider, it allows me to do some work on it and click save. However if I leave LayerSlider and return to it, the actual slider isn’t appearing in the “All Sliders” area.
Troubleshooting:
– All plugins disabled and the slider still doesn’t work
– enfold re-uploaded via FTP as well
– Turned on debug and this displays: Notice: Undefined index: flag_popup in /home/betacityinsp/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/wp/shortcodes.php on line 297Server:
PHP 7
MariaDB 10+*I see that enfold doesn’t have the latest version of LayerSlider. Perhaps that is the issue?
Please advise.

August 9, 2017 at 10:23 pm #836661Hi Basilis
You’ll notice that I don’t have the LayerSlider on the homepage but have temporarily substituted it for a different slider until the issue is resolved. You can find the homepage slider in the LayerSlider area of the Dashboard where you can…
– make an edit
– save the edit
– leave the LayerSlider and go back in to check the edit… which will have disappeared.August 10, 2017 at 3:24 pm #837011Hi splashmediagroup,
Here is a thread for you to consider

VictoriaAugust 10, 2017 at 3:53 pm #837028Unfortunately that didn’t work.
August 10, 2017 at 4:01 pm #837033I’m having an issue since I tried the .htaccess file you mentioned… the login page is a blank white page with nothing on it, even though I removed the .htaccess file.
Please advise on what Basilis did yesterday
Please advise asap as I’m supposed to launch the site today

August 10, 2017 at 4:21 pm #837046I turned on WP DEBUG and received the following error message:
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 155648 bytes) in /home/betacityinsp/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/css/dynamic-css.php on line 884
I’m going to look into this… however if you can let me know what… if anything was changed on the site I gave you access to.
August 10, 2017 at 4:38 pm #837051Blank login page was a PHP memory issue… site is on a new server and it was set too low.
Still… was anything changed by Basilis or anyone looking into my LayerSlider issue? It would be good to know what, if anything was tweaked for testing purposes.
Thanks Victoria
August 10, 2017 at 4:40 pm #837052I tested the LayerSlider now that I bumped up the memory limit to 256mb but unfortunately that still didn’t help.
Also…
I removed your user account as I’m in the process of launching the site. I can reinstate when the site is launched.- This reply was modified 7 years, 3 months ago by splashmediagroup.
August 11, 2017 at 12:11 pm #837403Hi splashmediagroup,
I did not do anything, I logged and looked at the Layer Slider. Than I figured it could be a memory issue. Could you enable debugging into a log file ( https://premium.wpmudev.org/blog/debugging-wordpress-how-to-use-wp_debug/) and let us know of any errors when you work with Layer Slider.

VictoriaAugust 12, 2017 at 7:39 pm #837996Hi Support Team!
Okay, so here’s where we’re at…
1) the site has now been launched on a new server running current PHP7 & MariaDB, as well as php memory limit is set to 256 so there shouldn’t be an issue with that.
2) Because I had to use a different slider for the homepage, I created a Test page (https://www.cityinspectionsoftware.com/test-page/) and implemented the existing, ‘not-working-properly’ LayerSlider there.
*3) Turned on debug and I receive the same message which I mentioned above… “Notice: Undefined index: flag_popup in /home/cityprod/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/wp/shortcodes.php on line 297”
Because the site is now live, I’ll need approval from the client to grant you access again. Please advise.
Thank you.
– MichaelAugust 16, 2017 at 6:08 am #839696Hi,
Thank you for the update.
The array “flag_popup” does not exist on our installation. Please make sure that you have the latest version of theme, 4.1.2.

IsmaelSeptember 21, 2017 at 9:31 pm #855065Have you solve it? I hve the same problem
September 22, 2017 at 9:09 am #855254Hi,
He added the “flag_popup” column manually in the “wp_layerslider” table in the database. Please create a backup of the database before doing this

Unfortunately I haven’t solved this issue yet. For the time being I’m simply using the full-width Easy Slider until I have some time to do more testing.
As for Ismael saying: “He added the “flag_popup” column manually in the “wp_layerslider” table in the database. Please create a backup of the database before doing this“… that ISN’T correct as I DIDN’T do that. I was only stating the error message I saw when I turned on debug.
September 23, 2017 at 3:56 am #855673Hi,
My bad. I thought this is the thread where the user added the column manually because of the “flag_popup” keyword. Here it is.
