    Hi, I actually have the same request. There is a new version of WP LayerSlider, and we cannot access it as it comes with the theme (auto update is only available had we had purchased the plugin separately)! Could you please address this security issue?

    Hi @Fiorilla,

    We are only allowed to include the plugin within the theme, not as a standalone plugin. If you want the latest version available to you immediately you would have to purchase it separately. I’m not sure how it’s a security issue though, would you care to elaborate on that please?

    Hi Rikard,

    Well, wordpress sites are regularly hacked because outdated plugins sometimes reveal a possibility to install backdoors. I remember in 2014, about 100 000 sites were affected because their owners did not update the “Slider Revolution”. And we are currently having some troubles of the same sort on our website, so our developer is very careful about this sort of things.

    If it comes with the theme, I would assume that it would always carry the latest version?

    Hey!

    We are testing the latest versions of LayerSlider with Enfold and including them in Enfold updates. If there happens to be a security related update in LayerSlider, we will most definitely update the version we include in Enfold as well.

    I’ve just installed the latest version of Enfold, but the latest version of LayerSlider seems to not be included. How do I fix that?

    Hi,

    I answered that question here. If you want to always have the latest version you would have to use the stand-alone version.

    Antar att du är en hejare på svenska. Kan du förklara för mig. Är det alltså en gammal version av LayerSlider i senaste versionen av Enfold? Om om jag förstår dig rätt, så måste jag även köpa licens för LayerSlider för att kunna uppdatera?

    Hej Patrik,

    Nja, den är väl inte gammal direkt men när utvecklingen av temat sker så tar vi den version som är stabil då, sen kommer nya versioner ut av slidern under tiden som vi utvecklar nästa version, och då ser den versionen som finns i temat “gammal” ut. Fast detta är inget du behöver bry dig om helt ärligt, versionen som kommer med temat är ingen säkerhetsrisk och den fungerar som den ska. Om du verkligen måste ha den senaste versionen av slidern så ja, då får du köpa slidern separat. Men jag ser ingen poäng i att göra det helt ärligt :-)

    v5.6.5 is shipped with enfold

    v5.6.6 is from April, 21.

    From changelog:

    Does this mean that uypdates to Layer Slider ARE INCLUDED in Kriese theme updates, but the updates do not include the latest version?

    Or, does this mean taht updates to Layer Silder are NOT INCLUDED in Kriese theme updates?

    Hi sackerly,

    The latest version of Layerslider will of course be included with Enfold, but depending on our own development cycle it may take anywhere from a day to a few weeks until we release the new layerslider version with a theme update. (Assuming that its not a super critical update, we will of course always try to immediately update the slider if there are major security fixes included or if a previous version is broken in a major way)

    As I have been told the version 5.6.6 offers a few minor bug fixes and some non critical security updates, so we will probably release it with the next major theme update.

    What Rikard meant was that if you always want to run the latest version “immediately” you would need to get a license on codecanyon :)

    Hi everybody,
    I know Kriesi doesn’t need a lawyer , i wolud like to say CHAPEAU to Krisei and all support team because even if i’ve been using enfold for short time, i’m amazed by the speed of all interventations that are done to make us all easier
