Hello. When using the standalone plugin, the following path does not exist. So, while Enfold is looking for this file, a 1/2 second load time is being added. How do we fix this with the Enfold child theme in place?
path: /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-layerslider/LayerSlider/static/admin/img/blank.gif
Thanks.
May 23, 2018 at 5:22 pm #960997Hey WP Turned,
Thank you for using Enfold.
In the Enfold > Layout Builder panel, try to set the “Integrated (Bundled) LayerSlider Plugin” to the 4th option to completely remove the plugin’s files and slides.

IsmaelMay 25, 2018 at 4:44 pm #962247Didn’t help. I moved to a different theme and the issue went away. I can reproduce this issue on all of my Enfold sites.
May 28, 2018 at 12:36 pm #963123Hi,
Thanks for the update. Do you have a staging site? I can’t reproduce the issue on my local installation because the blank.gif file exists inside the specified directory.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 29, 2018 at 1:37 am #963480I went through a clean install and all 4 options for Layslider as they pertain to Enfold. The issue was not there. As soon as you introduce the standalone plugin, issues start to appear. While it has gotten better since I first started using Enfold, I think the path to enabling/disabling the standalone plugin still needs further testing and better instructions.
Let’s say a customer were to use the built-in LS, then found out they wanted to do more with LS (premium options) and they installed the standalone version. Now, let’s say the standalone plugin is up for renewal and their budget requires them to go back to the built-in version of LS. They would most likely be hit with this issue. So, what I would do (which I already have) if I were Enfold, is to do a fresh install, introduce the standalone version,
and then switch back to the built-in version. Document the process, the outcome, etc., testing for the blank.gif issue I’ve mentioned.Enfold’s instructions for LS in the dashboard need to be spelled out even more and this line makes no sense to me: “If you want to use this plugin again later, select “Activate”, save the options and reinstall the theme”. It’s already activated on fresh installs, so how can you activated what’s already activated.
May 30, 2018 at 8:59 pm #964496Hi,
What describe is something that can happen, 1 out of 50 I suppose.
Enable and disabling the functionality also does not make sense because when using a premium feature, then when going back you cant disable it.Best regards,

June 4, 2018 at 8:43 pm #966783Hi,
I am not sure there is a way, because actually we do not want our users to re-install the theme.
Best regards,
BasilisJune 5, 2018 at 3:28 pm #967266Shouldn’t have to reinstall a theme for this. Seems like a path and or file could be created/added via FTP, to satisfy what LS/Enfold is looking for.
June 6, 2018 at 9:14 pm #968067Hi,
not that easy also, because it means that the file should be deleted.
There can be a value that does it based on a true / false, but our developers will check and know more about it.Best regards,
