I’m creating a LayerSlider and my client wants me to use a thin font along the lines of this https://www.dropbox.com/s/7g4mx6cfdtauq6m/BannerFont.jpg
Can you either recommend one to try or point me in the direction of where I see which fonts are available.
I’m assuming it’s better to add it as text in the slider as opposed to a graphic PNG?
Regards
RupertJanuary 6, 2014 at 8:42 pm #205957Hi creativeyes!
It depends on how important that specific text is for the site. Kriesi used images for text specifically to make it easier for the whole slide to be responsive and it worked out very well.
Others have added in other fonts either through @font-face or a plugin which lets you choose google fonts from a dropdown and then targeting your slide elements with a specific css class.
No really “right” way but either is available to you.

The login credentials are not working. Like Devin said, Kriesi uses graphic images instead of actual text. It gives you more control over the look of the slider because browsers render fonts differently.

Username: catalysis
Password: 4czsNcn/VI think I’m clear on the font issue.
The one outstanding issue is how do I make the homepage LayerSlider loop? It currently stops when it finishes.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
January 7, 2014 at 1:14 pm #206289Hi!
In WordPress dashboard please go to LayerSlider WP and edit your homepage slider and in Global Settings and set Loops to 0 http://i.imgur.com/WGkyiFa.jpg

Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can take a look?

That is because you have only one slide. You can duplicate the current slide so there could be 2 of the same slide and it could be on loop
Cheers!
YigitJanuary 8, 2014 at 3:04 pm #206832Thanks Yigit, for some reason when I duplicate the slide and save the changes it then doesn’t work. I basically want a 10 second gap before it just starts again. I don’t want the viewer to realise it’s a different slide just the same thing playing over and over again.
January 8, 2014 at 3:06 pm #206834P.S. I don’t want any controls, rotating wheel etc.
January 8, 2014 at 5:33 pm #206906Would you mind responding to my last message, I’m trying to get the site ready to go live tomorrow and this is one of the last things to sort out.
