Hi,
I have a layerslider on my home page. I have changed the font colour to white in the Edit LayerSlider. It looks fine in the preview but when I save it and check the home page it is not white but one of theme font colours.
What am I doing wrong?
May 30, 2013 at 8:50 am #122098Hi,
Maybe a theme css is overriding your modification. Edit that layer, go to Style, look for Custom Style Settings. Place something like this
color: white !important
You can also use PNG text images.

May 31, 2013 at 2:23 am #122099I’ve tried the adding the code to the css in the Style section. It doesn’t make any difference – it still won’t go white.
I’ve also tried using a PNG text image but I’m having trouble with the sizes – they are too big even when I make them the right font in the editor.
Any more suggestions? It’s getting annoying.
May 31, 2013 at 2:28 am #122100OK – I have discovered that the layerslider is picking up one of the theme colours.
If I go to Theme Options > Main Content it is using the Primary Color > Font color for links, dropcaps and other elements.
I can’t change this option to white as I have too many other elements using it on a white background already.
Is there a workaround?
How do I make the layerslider use the color specified in the Style section of the layerslider?
May 31, 2013 at 7:15 am #122101Hi,
I don’t have this problem on my end. I can specify the color on LayerSlider WP correctly without the theme color overriding it. Can you give us a link to your website?

Ismael
May 31, 2013 at 7:49 am #122102This page is fine:

This page isn’t but I can’t see any difference in the layerslider (I’m probably overlooking something obvious…)

Appreciate your help :)
June 1, 2013 at 9:02 pm #122103I continue to have problems with the layerslider. I have added a layer to the slider on the home page. I can see it in the layerslider preview, I’ve saved it but it is not appearing on the home page.
Please help as I am trying to launch my site this week.
Thanks.
June 3, 2013 at 12:09 pm #122104Hi acromp,
The text is bold on the second link which gets the color: #594f4f; added to it by the theme. You can change that by just using the same styling between the two.
It looks like the first “working” page has the text as h2 without being bold (strong).

Devin
