    I hired someone from Envato to load the theme to my server. They are having a problem with the LayerSlider. We are receiving the following message:

    “LayerSlider encountered a problem while it tried to show your slider. Please make sure that you’ve used the right shortcode or method to insert the slider, and check if the corresponding slider exists and it wasn’t deleted previously.”

    They said that the slider was not included in the package.

    Please help.

    Hey hdmarkdesign,

    Looks like all your sliders are gone, or the Layer Slider does not recognize them and that’s why, you see that on your page. If you have a database backup, you might want to restore your database, maybe it got corrupted.

    Hi Victoria,
    We are doing the initial install of the theme and the person from Envato who installed the theme said that the slider files were not in the theme download at all.

    Please describe the steps you were taking from the very beginning. This is clean installation, imported demo, no sliders?

    Correct, it was a clean installation. I hired someone from Envato to install the theme and she/he said when they imported the demo that the slider was missing.

    She said “The demo content does not include the slider data. there are no slider demo data, so I cannot import for you.”

    I misunderstand the person who is intalling the theme… turns out the demo content of slider is missing.

    Thanks for the feedback. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.1.2) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    Hi,

    I tried to add the demo slider on your site via xml however I’m getting this error:

    The PHP ZipArchive extension is required to import .zip files.

    Can you try to install the extension, I think the issue why you can’t import the demo is the missing extension. Hope this helps. :)

    Hi,

    You’re welcome, I tried to check your site again but it’s using Twenty Seventeen and Enfold is not listed in the themes. Can you try to use Enfold, I think if you import demo it should work fine now.

    I have encountered a same problem after I installed and imported the demo, it shows bellow

    Please help, it is very frustrated after you have google and reach for the solutions to the problem but nothing really helps.

    Hi vivienne2020,

    Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
      ( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

    When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
    If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Thanks for that. The login token only redirects to the login page though, could you renew the token or post regular login details in private instead please?

    Hi,

    Thanks for giving us admin access.
    Please enable PHP ZipArchive Extension, you can do this via Cpanel or you can ask for your hosting provider for assistance.
    Then try to reimport the slider again or you can let us know if it’s enabled so we can do the importing of slider.
    To know if it’s already enabled, you can login to your site and go to the link in private content, you should see that PHP ZipArchive Extension is currently disabled.
