When viewing my website in Internet Explorer the console gives me the following:

“It seems like the URL of the image or background image “imageTitle” is pointing to a wrong location and it cannot be loaded. Please check the URLs of all your images used in the slider.”

I have checked the links to my images used in the slider and they all work fine. I don’t have this problem using Firefox or Chrome.

When viewing my website on older IE versions (internet explorer 9) it produces a popup box for every image that this error occurs for, resulting in a continuous pop-up spam.

Any ideas on how to resolve this issue?

    Thanks

Has anybody experienced this problem before or have a solution?

    Hello,

Have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?

    Hi,

Thanks for the response. I checked all my plugins and they seem to have no effect on the cause of this issue. After further investigation I think the problem may be related to the JQuery version. The older versions of IE seem to only support versions 1.10.* but the theme currently uses 2.* version?

Hopefully this will be of use to anyone else with this error. I switched back to JQuery version 1.10.1 but I still haven’t managed to fully resolve the problem. It loads the slider most of the time but I still get the error message in the console (only tested using IE11).

    Hi!

I checked your website on my end (Win 7.1, IE11), and the slider displays fine, no errors in console – http://screencast.com/t/pDjyhXvsn5l

    Hey,

Sorry I wasn’t very clear when I said I still haven’t fully managed to resolve the issue. If you open the F12 console before navigating onto the website and then load it, it then still shows the layerslider error most of the time during the webpage load, along with a few css errors. However, if you load the website and then open the console, it shows nothing as you pointed out.

This is a very unusual problem and something I have never come across before, usually the layerslider still sometimes seems to fully load, despite the error saying it cannot find the image locations. I suspected that it may have been related to the WP Super Cache plugin but as I said above I disabled all my plugins yet the issue still occurs.

I would be interest to know what you guys make of this. I am using JQuery 1.10.1 at the moment by the way. IE9 still displays the layerslider errors in a popup message box which just spams the end user.

    Thanks

I still get the above issues even with the default enfold slider when using internet explorer, has anybody else also experienced this problem or know a solution?

    Hi!

Have you tried removing the said images (photo23.jpg and photo22.jpg) on the Media > Library? Upload them again.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
