Hey there,
I haven’t used Layerslider before, but simply by placing an element on one of my pages, there’s a console error that breaks it. Even on pages that don’t have a Layerslider element.

Error:
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected string avia.js?ver=4.2:1003 Uncaught TypeError: links.not(...).addClass(...).magnificPopup is not a function at HTMLDivElement.<anonymous> (avia.js?ver=4.2:1003) at Function.each (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=4.8.3:2) at a.fn.init.each (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=4.8.3:2) at HTMLBodyElement.<anonymous> (avia.js?ver=4.2:998) at Function.each (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=4.8.3:2) at a.fn.init.each (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=4.8.3:2) at a.fn.init.$.fn.avia_activate_lightbox (avia.js?ver=4.2:990) at Object.$.avia_utilities.avia_ajax_call (avia.js?ver=4.2:83) at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (avia.js?ver=4.2:67) at i (load-scripts.php?c=0&load[]=jquery-core,jquery-migrate&ver=4.8.3:2) custom.js?ver=4.8.3:3 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'target' of undefined at HTMLAnchorElement.protect_image (custom.js?ver=4.8.3:3) at AdapterForceTouch.runClosure (pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:157) at AdapterForceTouch._endDeepPress (pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:207) at AdapterForceTouch._endPress (pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:214) protect_image @ custom.js?ver=4.8.3:3 runClosure @ pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:157 _endDeepPress @ pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:207 _endPress @ pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:214 custom.js?ver=4.8.3:3 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 'target' of undefined at HTMLAnchorElement.protect_image (custom.js?ver=4.8.3:3) at AdapterForceTouch.runClosure (pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:157) at AdapterForceTouch._endDeepPress (pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:207) at AdapterForceTouch._endPress (pressure.js?ver=4.8.3:214)
It’s quite important that I get this working soon.
Thanks!

Have you tried de-activating all active plugins and re-updating the theme via FTP – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/? If not, please do so. Also, please try switching to parent theme and check if that makes any difference.
Best regards,

If I re-update the theme via FTP; will it keep all my settings?
Best,
EmilNovember 16, 2017 at 11:03 pm #877818Hi,
Yes, your settings will be kept. If you have made any changes on parent theme files, they will be overwritten. If you have, please firstly apply those changes on a child theme – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/
Best regards,
YigitNovember 20, 2017 at 3:47 pm #879167Hi again,
Uploading latest Enfold theme by FTP = Still an error
Disabling all plugins = Still an error
Changing to Enfold parent theme = Fixes the error? To my knowledge, though, we haven’t fiddled with the parent files, so I’m not sure what’s causing this or how to fix it. Can you guide me in the right direction, reading the console error?
Thanks
UPDATE:
I seem to have fixed the error by enabling Lightbox Modal Window in the Enfold child theme settings. Not sure why that broke anything though.
