LayerSlider version: 6.5.1 Update to latest version (6.5.5), as we are constantly working on new features, improvements and bug fixes.
How do we update to this latest version?Hey synergismpromo,
The Layer Slider is bundled with theme so you only have to worry about updating the theme: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
If you really need to update it individually then you would have to purchase a separate licence for it and disable the bundled version.

I have updated the theme to the latest version and the layer slider updated to 6.5.1 but it says there is now a version 6.5.5. Has the theme got that latest update in it? I am very worried about not updating when I should as I didn’t do the last update when I should have and got hacked!Kind regards,

The theme has the latest version at the point when we released the theme. When you got hacked, was it done through the theme files?
If you want to update the LayerSlider individually then you would have to purchase the standalone version of it.

I got hacked before I updated. Is it necessary to update to the latest version at this stage?

If you keep the theme, WordPress and plugins updated, and keep secure passwords for your accounts then you should not have anything to worry about. If the version of LayerSlider included in the theme would have been a security risk then we would have known about it already.
