    There are numerous reports of this same issue and there have been no reponses:

    The Plugin “” needs an upgrade ( -> 6.2.0).

    New Plugin Version: 6.2.0
    Severity: Critical
    Status New
    Update includes security-related fixes.

    We need a fix for this? If you are including in your package, then it should be updated as well and not leave us and clients hanging.
    If not using it, is there a way to remove Layer Slider?

    Hey elames,

    Since the LayerSlider is bundled with the theme you cannot update it as a plugin, you will have to wait for the theme to be updated. If you want to disable it you can try this in your functions.php file:

    add_theme_support('deactivate_layerslider');

    Please follow the instructions Rikard gave, that would also be equivalent of not loading it to the theme.
