My WordPress is up-to-date. My Enfold is up-to-date. Appears to be a update to LayerSlider that has not been added to Enfold.
I am not able to edit add any slides to existing Sliders.
I am not able to create any new Sliders.
Any reason why this is not working?
September 22, 2014 at 1:26 am #322725I am having this same problem in the Choices 2.1 theme the sliders are not editable – any fix yet?
September 22, 2014 at 9:25 am #322864Hi!
Thank you for visiting the support forum.
@dsharpe: Do you mind if we take a look at the actual website? Did you install the layer slider as stand alone plugin?
@JuliePopovich: Do have the layer slider installed on Choices? The theme doesn’t fully support this slider.Cheers!
IsmaelSeptember 22, 2014 at 9:55 am #322885Hi, same problem,
We updated the theme through the WordPress interface. When trying to bring layerslider back to life it throws the following message:“It seems you’ve received LayerSlider by a theme. Please note that the auto-update feature only works if you’ve purchased the plugin directly from us on CodeCanyon.”
Does this mean Enfold is no longer including updates for this slider, do we need to purchase it as a separate feature?
Best regards,

Kriesi first tests updated LayerSlider versions and then include it into the theme. Current LayerSlider Version that comes with Enfold is 5.2.0. If you would like to use LayerSlider as a standalone plugin and to use auto-update feature, you are going to need to purchase it separately – http://codecanyon.net/item/layerslider-responsive-wordpress-slider-plugin-/1362246
then you can add following code to Functions.php file in Appearance > Editor to deactivate bundled version of Layerslideradd_theme_support('deactivate_layerslider');

Not sure what the name of this slide show builder is, but it is available on every page and it came included in the theme. It doesn’t seem to work right after installing WP 4.0. It did work with 3.9.2.When you select “add image to slider” it doesn’t do anything.
It doesn’t expand when you select “show” on an already inserted image as well.I have several instances of this theme running and they all are acting the same way.
The only plugins I have installed are:
bbPress
Contact Form 7
Contact Form 7 reCAPTCHA extension
Easy FancyBox
WordPress Importer
WP-reCAPTCHASeptember 22, 2014 at 2:19 pm #323001Hey!
Are you having any issues with LayerSlider now? That auto-update message would not affect how LayerSlider works and it should work fine. Standalone plugin provides more functionality of LayerSlider and auto-update feature.

YigitSeptember 22, 2014 at 2:20 pm #323002Hi!
@juliepopovich Can you post the link to your website please? Have you tried de-activating your plugins and checked if that helps?Cheers!
YigitSeptember 22, 2014 at 3:36 pm #323061I did try deactivaing the small number of plugins i do have installed to no avail.
The website is on a secured site (work for the government) so I can’t show you “that” site
I have a mirred site that isn’t updated with latest theme or WP yet that I can show you – they look the same but of course the secured site (we call staging site) is only accessible through our VPN network. We use staging to test stuff first.
IT looks like this one

I sooo need the help.
Metaslider works on the theme but I’d much rather stay native to the theme and use the slider that came with it.Thanks,

Layer Slider 5.2.0September 24, 2014 at 10:08 pm #324652I am still waiting for some kind of support. Who else can I contact that will help?
September 26, 2014 at 6:31 am #325407Hey!
I’m sorry but we won’t be able to help if we can’t access the actual site. Have you tried overriding the whole theme files again? Did this issue occur after you updated WordPress or Enfold? What is the current PHP version of the site? Please check the chrome console if you’re using Google Chrome, see if you can find any reported script errors.
Best regards,
IsmaelSeptember 26, 2014 at 7:52 pm #325734I upgraded WordPress, then Enfold, at the same time.
This message was in Chrome Console while in the Layer Slider settings screen:
7Consider using ‘dppx’ units, as in CSS ‘dpi’ means dots-per-CSS-inch, not dots-per-physical-inch, so does not correspond to the actual ‘dpi’ of a screen. In media query expression: print, not all, (-webkit-min-device-pixel-ratio: 1.25), (min-resolution: 120dpi)

September 26, 2014 at 7:54 pm #325736I have re-copied WordPress files and Enfold files to the server several times.
September 28, 2014 at 6:15 am #326084Hi!
Are you sure you didn’t install layer slider? It should be included on the theme by default. You didn’t buy a license? Please try adding this on functions.php:
add_theme_support('deactivate_layerslider');
Let us know what it does.
Regards,
IsmaelOctober 2, 2014 at 9:17 pm #329248The new Enfold version fixed the problem
