I’m having a few issues with the layer slider (full width).

    http://bit.ly/18jfPId — log/pass: abq/abq

There are five slides. Most of the time only a couple will transition through and then it freezes. Or sometimes, it freezes and the first slide never transitions out. This is the biggest problem.

Next, on the demo you can zoom out and the content layers stay centered on the screen with the background image at 100% width. Mine doesn’t do that….the layers fall to far left of the screen. Wouldn’t be so bad since virtually no one would view it that way, but I can’t figure out where to set up my layers so they’re centered at normal view. I set up 1600px wide background images and centered the other layers on top of it, but that is way off and a lot of my stuff is off the screen to the right.

    Please help!

I’ve tried all variations of random/navigation/etc. None of it seems to even work. I click the next and previous arrows and the link it shows in my toolbar is /#. Slides are sometimes random, but no matter the setting.

    Hi,

    Increase wordpress php memory limit.

    http://www.dailyblogging.org/wordpress/increase-wordpress-memory-limit/

To place the elements on the middle. Go to LayerSlider WP > Slides > Global Options > Basic > Layers Container, specify the width.

    Thank you!!

I’m still waiting for the client to have their limits increased. I’d actually requested that yesterday already. But, specifying a width doesn’t solve my problem. I need it 100% full width. See the link for image explaining the problem.

Without the content centering like in the demo, it shifts depending on the screen width so I can’t produce a consistent result.

    Hi,

On Global Settings > Slider width should be be 100%. Then specify a width for Layers Container, something like 1024.

Layers Container: This feature is needed if you are using a full-width slider and you need that your layers forced to positioning inside a centered custom width container. Just specify the width of this container in pixels! Note, that this feature is working only with pixel-positioned layers, but of course if you add left: 50% position to a layer it will be positioned horizontally to the center, as before!

    Ismael

Great. I can start adjusting my slides to the container. That definitely worked.

HOWEVER…the slider still isn’t working correctly after upping my limit to 100M on both post and upload. I have 5 slides. Sometimes 1 will go and it stops. Sometimes maybe 2 or 3. I can’t even force it because the prev/next buttons link to #. Any other ideas?

    #127080

I should also add that I only have 3 plugins installed and it still behaves the same even with them all deactivated.

    #127081

Again, clarifying. Post and upload to 100M, memory to 64M.

    Hi,

Increase the wordpress php memory limit to 128M above.

    Regards,

    Ismael

Thanks, Ismael. I’ve done this, but it still isn’t working. And that doesn’t explain why none of the slider navigation is functional right? Pause/play, prev/next, and dot navigation does nothing…hovering just shows /# and clicking does nothing at all. I’m at a loss.

I tagged this thread for Kriesi. Chrome outputs a js error message:

Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property 't2d' of undefined - abqdowns.com/:1

but I can’t reproduce the error on my servers and I can’t find the “t2d” attribute in the website source code. Hopefully Kriesi can shed some light on this issue – if not we’ll contact the LayerSlider plugin author…

Thanks for tagging this. I’m going to work on setting up an Easy Slider for the time being because the client is anxious to launch. I’ll drop in the layer slider on a hidden page so you can still see it for troubleshooting. I’ll provide the link when that’s done. Is there a need for me to provide admin access to you?

    #127087

    Hey!

Got the same error as dude. the “t2d” property is indeed a layerslider property. Not sure why exactly that happens. could you export the layerslider with the layerslider export tool and somewhere upload that for us to use? That way we can test if it happens on our servers as well when using your settings and report it as a bug in the layerslider plugin.

2 things you might want to try in addition to that:

in your layerslider options panel you will find a “Put JS includes to body” setting that often solves incompatibilities with other scripts. You can try to activate that. Also please try to deactivate all plugins and see if that makes any difference.

    Cheers!

Thanks. I’d tried deactivating plugins. I only have 3 and there was no change without them. Also, the JS includes to body setting produced no changes either. Please let me know what you find out. Like I said…I’ll be using an easy slider temporarily but need to switch back when this is resolved. Thanks so much for all your help!

    Here’s the export:

    Hi,

I ran your export. Looks good to me. Goes through all the transitions without a problem. https://docs.google.com/file/d/0B8hqGBMSfHtKZkRDd2MwM2Q1R2c/edit

The issue is your server or perhaps something in its configuration perhaps since I cant replicate that error.

    Thanks,

    Nick

Thanks. Were you able to check the actual ‘Home’ slider as well? The video above is still showing the demo slider that I kept for reference purposes.

    Hi,

Actually I tried a second time , deleting all the sliders I had, and I was never able to import anything from what you pasted. The code is correct, I converted it from base64 to check. It just doesn’t import a single thing. Have you tried using the code yourself to see if it imports?

I realized you are missing a few lines at the end and added some of the missing code… http://pastebin.com/e0qpUfFL this would be the correct one.

Can you add all the images you use in the slider somewhere since the slider references local images which I dont have, and they dont seem to be at the urls indicated either.

    Thanks,

    Nick
