It is gone. I see there is an update available but it wants me to pay? I bought the Enfold theme which included the layer slider. No plug ins active and I do not do code. Please advise how to get the slider back.
Thank you.

November 16, 2017 at 12:50 am #877291Hi,
Has this occured after any recent updates?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonNovember 16, 2017 at 3:06 pm #877555I did just recently update but there is a small possibility that it was gone and did not notice. The backgrounds turning gray which is another thread unanswered has been happening for some time now.

In the portfolio Zion National Park page when I remove the separator bar the page turns back to white. I do need these bars. I turned off all of the plugins. Still doing it.
I hope this helps in the mystery. :)
thank you.

Thank you. The code is not even recognizing it. I will check in with other team members on this. Thanks for your patience.

Jordan ShannonDecember 1, 2017 at 6:39 am #883712Hi!
Please provide the FTP details in the private field so that we can check the theme files and configuration. The slider is working on a test page. I’m not sure why it’s not working on the home page, yet. ( see private field)
Cheers!

This is a unique case in that we aren’t seeing other users experience this issue and if it was just the default mark-up of the theme, it would be a more widespread issue. Would you be willing to attempt to re-download a fresh copy of the theme and re-install?
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonDecember 5, 2017 at 3:46 pm #885116Reinstall? Would everything remain as is when it is reinstalled? I have over a hundred pages and 3 years building it? What are the risks? Please advise?
Thank you.. PamDecember 5, 2017 at 5:19 pm #885161Hi,
You would be doing a fresh install of the theme file. Of course you would want to back up your entire WP-Install before proceeding. The new install would be fresh files directly from ThemeForest, so if there was any corruption present in your current theme files it would be taken care of. If you aren’t comfortable with this of course we can troubleshoot further.

Jordan ShannonDecember 6, 2017 at 4:04 am #885335Would everything remain as it is exactly in my 100 plus pages after the reinstall? What are the risks? again
thank you.December 6, 2017 at 11:40 am #885506Hi,
It should, but it can’t be guaranteed of course. To make absolutely sure then you would have to screenshot each page and compare the before and after states, visual regression testing is fancy name for it. You can read more about it here if you are interested: https://steadywp.com/what-is-visual-regression-testing-how-does-it-apply-to-your-wordpress-site/
My advice would be to at least have proper backups in case you should need to roll back the site.

RikardDecember 6, 2017 at 4:26 pm #885642I would like you to fix the problem some other way. I am not doing a reinstall. Can someone call me? I have customers waiting on pages that are paid in full. I really need to solve this yesterday.
Please advise asap if you could. Thank you.

December 7, 2017 at 12:23 am #885808Hi,
Unfortunately we can’t do a call. At this point the best course of action is to at least attempt the re-install. One option would be to attempt it locally to see if it fixes the issue. That way you can see the result without disrupting the live site.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonDecember 7, 2017 at 2:35 am #885872I already said I will not do a reinstall. I was told it would be trouble shooted if I say no. I said no.
Please continue to troubleshoot as stated would be done earlier. I do not want to waste any time.
please continue to troubleshoot. I greatly appreciate your help and look forward to a quick resolution.
Thank you.
December 12, 2017 at 1:05 am #887633Hi,
Have you attempted the local install as I suggested above? Again, this would not disrupt the live site.
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonDecember 13, 2017 at 3:46 pm #888388Twice I said I would NOT REINSTALL!! I waited this many days for you to once again tell me to do an install when I twice said I would not do an install??!! On December 7th I said I would not do a reinstall for the SECOND TIME! On December 6th I said I would NOT do a reinstall!! It is now December 13th and you ask me if I did the reinstall?? Get me a supervisor. My site is at a standstill all this time!!!
December 13, 2017 at 11:56 pm #888636Hi,
Sure, I’ll get you some additional assistance on this. Hopefully they have a better suggestion :-)
Best regards,
Jordan ShannonDecember 20, 2017 at 3:06 pm #890790So it has been SIX DAYS now with no response. Other more serious issues going on now and I am being ignored??
December 20, 2017 at 5:48 pm #890873Hi extraeyes,
Can you try using php7.0, there might be an issue with php7.1. Also, can you make a copy installation and try to reinstall the theme there if you do not want to reinstall on the current installation? The reason is not clear. We cannot diagnose on your current installation.
Best regards,
