    Hi
I’m seeing a lot of posts about Chrome and Layer Slider but I couldn’t see a solution.
My site http://www.solid-steelband.com was tested on Firefox and we only discovered that Chrome wouldn’t play the homepage video background to the Layer Slider after launch.
The slider obviously runs as the logo and link button appear, but the video won’t play and the play button that’s shown doesn’t start it either.
    Any thoughts?
    Thanks,
    Colin

    Hey Colin,

Could you please clear the cache, check again and get back to us.

Hi – I have tried that, but the same thing happens.
The layer slider loads, the other layers play out, but the video, which is set as a background video does not run, although it displays a play icon, that does not work either.
This works fine on Firefox and edge but not Chrome.
    Any other thoughts?

    Hi,
I see that you have this error:

Failed to execute 'postMessage' on 'DOMWindow': The target origin provided ('https://www.youtube.com') does not match the recipient window's origin ('http://www.solid-steelband.com').

It is basically saying the you have a http site pointing to https
try changing the link to YouTube to http

Thanks Mike – I tried that (cleared cache etc.) however the outcome is the same. I made a separate small change to the layer slider to prove that I was seeing a modified version but still the same.
I can only assume it’s chrome being security fussy. A bit annoying really.

    Hi,

    @jonesthelight
sorry I should have been clearer.
Can you please test your video link with this code added to the end:

    ?autoplay=1&loop=1

    Best regards,
    Mike
