Hello,
I’m having a few problems with my layer slider. When I click preview the following message pops up:
“LayerSlider: old jQuery issue
It looks like you are using an old version (1.10.2) of the jQuery library. LayerSlider requires at least version 1.7.0 or newer. If you are using the WordPress version of LayerSlider, you can try out the “jQuery Updater” plugin from the WP plugin depository. If you don’t know what to do, you can write us a private message from our CodeCanyon profile page. We need a temporary WP admin account (or a temporary FTP account in some cases) to solve this issue.”I installed the jQuery Updater as suggested but the message still appears. If I need to install a newer version of the slider do you know where I would get that from?…Or do you have another solution?
Thanks for the help!
Will

YigitApril 1, 2014 at 3:29 pm #246073Hey wcolwell!
Thank you for using the support forum.
Unfortunately, we’re not entirely sure of the issue because we’re not able to reproduce the issue on my end and using the jquery updater plugin works as expected. My quick guess is that you’re using an old version of the theme. If you don’t mind posting the link to your website, that will help.
Cheers!

Will updating to a newer version of Enfold do anything to my site??April 1, 2014 at 6:57 pm #246202Hi!
No it will not. Only if you have made changes on theme files and not using a child theme, you will have to redo those changes. Also if you have changed the theme name, make sure that they are matching not to lose your options
Best regards,
YigitApril 1, 2014 at 8:40 pm #246235Hi Yigit
Thank you for all your assistance! Unfortunately for me, nothing seems to be working. When I go to the link:
http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
I followed the instructions for updating the theme through the “Enfold theme options.” But I don’t have a “theme update” tab on my Enfold theme options (as pictured on the linked page.)Then I tried uploading the theme through wordpress itself (appearance…install theme…)
When I download the most recent Enfold version on Theme Forest I downloaded: “All files and documentation.” Then, in WordPress, I attempted to upload the Enfold.zip file contained within the “All files…” folder. Unfortunately nothing happens. It won’t upload. What am I doing wrong? Should I have downloaded the file: “installable wordpress file only” ??Can you help me out of this mess and get my site going again? I would really appreciate it. I’ve already wasted the better part of the day attempting this simple task.
Thanks once again.
WilliamApril 4, 2014 at 7:59 pm #247617Hi!
The video walkthrough is the best way to get a step by step on how to do things. When you uploaded the new enfold folder it should have been unzipped and into the wp-content>themes folder to completely write over the previous enfold folder and its contents.
If you just uploaded the .zip of the theme file there it will do nothing.
Best regards,
