    I would like to create a layer, a semi-transparent area over a background image, and put text in this area … a heading, text and a button below it. How can I best start this?

    You can do that with a Color Section element, please try that out.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update. Any content you place over a background image will be placed just there, over the background image. So if you don’t want it over the background image, then add it either above or below. Your example; you should be able to achieve something similar using a 1/1 element.
