I have purchased this theme multiple times and use it on a lot of websites.
This last Enfold download does NOT work properly? I’ve tried it on 3 sites and it crashes them. I’ve seen this posted numerous times without a concrete answer?
Can you please tell me if a better version will be released soon? Or how I can run updates without it crashing the site? I’ve been doing it my staging sites but we need a solution.
March 21, 2018 at 8:31 am #930417Hey BrendaSarg,
Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look? There might be different reasons why this is happening, we need to see your installation details.
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 21, 2018 at 5:49 pm #930703I’m running PHP 7.1.4.
I’ll give you access to my current site (which isn’t updated with the latest theme) and the staging site, where I tried the update again and it crashed.

Issue occurs on servers running PHP versions older than 5.6. You can either upgrade your PHP version to minimum 5.6 and preferably to 7.x or replace /wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/r389b5x4ippscyn/header.php?dl=0 via FTP to bring up backwards compatibility with older PHP versions.
There are 51 installations in total however i could not find these two sites. If you could point them out, we can replace the file for you as well.

March 21, 2018 at 7:03 pm #930770Hi,
Sorry, i was too focused on FTP, must have overlooked.
Another possible issue could be “events_countdown.php” file. Please go to wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/ folder via FTP and delete events_countdown.php file if it exists.
As i mentioned i could not find the correct installation, if you could please point it out, we can solve it for you.
Cheers!
YigitMarch 21, 2018 at 7:12 pm #930775Ok, yes, that seems to have fixed it! So I need to do that for all my sites eh?
March 21, 2018 at 7:18 pm #930780Hey,
I am afraid so. File should have not been there after the update but should have been inside /events_countdown/ folder only.
Best regards,
YigitMarch 21, 2018 at 7:19 pm #930781ok, thanks.
