Hey guys
Latest theme update just done. Problem with the AJAX Portfolio.
If you select any item on the page the remaining portfolio items move downwards and disappear out of sight then spring back up again rapidly. I know it’s not life and death but it’s very annoying and it does it in IE and FF and Safari as well as Chrome.
Any ideas?
My portfolio page is: http://www.swarez.co.uk/original-art-for-sale/
Caches flushed, Right click enabled…
Thanks Ed

Try this fix (Quick CSS):
.portfolio_preview_container{ max-height: 572px !important; overflow: hidden; }
Cheers!

Thanks for the code; unfortunately it doesn’t solve the issue – images still fall away and re-draw themselves before they spring back underneath the preview container.
BTW – have removed W3TC now. So nothing to mess things up from a caching plugin either… (bizarrely the site still scores the same on Google Page Speed!).
Many thanks

This is interesting…I just noticed that the container for the top three portfolio items is narrower than all the others. On these the preview window is not zoomed in like all the rest of them are – it shows the entire image. All the other portfolio items show a larger preview container and a larger, zoomed in portion of the image… Any ideas why? Most slides I use are wither 1210px x 600px or 1210 x 650px.
Thanks Ed

I don’t see the code in neither of these files:

http://www.swarez.co.uk/wp-content/themes/enfold/css/custom.css?ver=1

JosueFebruary 16, 2014 at 3:08 pm #224528Mmmmmm… interesting?
It’s definitely added to Quick CSS – just double checked… The preview pane is working at 572px from the code you supplied (by the look of things) but the issue of the top four items being in a shorter height container is confusing – when all the rest fill a larger spaced container.
Letme know if you want me to copy the Quick CSS into one of those style sheets above via FTP.
Thanks

Done! Looks better, thankyou. Must make sure I don’t put too much text on the right side as it will force the Read More button off the bottom of the container!
Any ideas why the first four portfolio items (paintings) have a smaller container than the rest? The slideshow criteria are identical across all portfolio items? Only happened on the last four entries (the newest)…
As always, thanks for your help man; really appreciate it…

I think it has to do with the aspect ratio difference between those images:
