    Hi!
Any ideas how to resolve the language flag appearing as the image when posting a URL?
I have installed WPML and deactivated the Enfold language switcher.
    Any hints and tips appreciated!

    Hey Nikkisyard,

Could you please attach some screenshots of the issue?

    Best regards,

Thank you Victoria, I did private message you immediately (22/11) but perhaps you didn’t pick it up?

    Hi,

You can use google drive, dropbox or img.ru to post the image for us.

I have used text as the switcher instead of flags. But the flag is still showing on posting the URL

    Hi,

Thanks for that. So that image is displaying when you are sharing on social networks? If so then please try to use a plugin like Yoast SEO to set the image which you would like to share instead.

    Best regards,

Thank you so much… I should have known ;)

Hi again! so sorry…. I have installed YOAST SEO and adjusted the settings. I set the language switcher to using flags, and alas the flag still shows up on posting URL links…
I note that this plugin states that it will use the image I set IF there are no images on that page. Is there a way to force this?

    Hi,

Thanks for the update, are you asking if there is a way to set a default image if one hasn’t been set? If so then I’m not aware of anything like that unfortunately.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Ok then i need to revert to my original question.
How can I prevent the language switcher flag from showing as the image when posting URLs from this theme.

    Hi,

Social networks like Facebook and Twitter will pick the first one (not 100% sure about this) they find on the page if one isn’t explicitly set, so I don’t think you can get past that behaviour. Wouldn’t it be better to have an image that you set to your posts before posting them?

    Best regards,
    Rikard
