hey, I’m trying to figure out why my ajax portfolio previews seem to have slowed down to an unacceptable load time. When I click to open a preview on https://goodwebworks.com/portfolio/ or click between the previews (using the arrows once the preview is open), I’m getting almost a 5 second lag / load time. Are you familiar with this issue by chance? Thanks!

    Hey,

Thanks for contacting us and sorry for the late reply!

Have you tried de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps? I believe issue might be plugin related.

    Best regards,
    Yigit

I hadn’t actually tried that yet — sorry; can’t believe I hadn’t — but I just did and it doesn’t seem to be a plugin conflict; I’m still seeing the issue. Any other ideas? I set you up with a user, in case you want to jump in and poke around. Thanks!

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

We are not yet sure why the portfolio preview does not respond immediately. Is there a staging or development version of the site? Can we deactivate the plugins temporarily while checking the site?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

There’s no staging or dev site, but you can deactivate the plugins — and there are backups, so I can revert if anything breaks. Thanks!!

    Hi,

It turned out to be an issue with the default Lazy Loading feature. To fix the issue temporarily, we disabled Lazy Loading in the Enfold > Performance > Responsive Images And Lazy Loading section. We will forward the issue to our channel for further inspection.

    Thank you for your patience.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
