Key for forum not working

Apologies for using the wrong channel, but I did not know how to get in touch otherwise.

I would like to make an account on the forum, but our key doesn’t work. Our theme was installed through an external company. They have provided us with the following key: ***. However, this key seems invalid when trying to register on the forum. It seems that keys should have dashes?

I hope you could shed some light on this topic and thank you advance!

Thanks for contacting us!

Could you please contact the person who purchased the theme for you and ask for “purchase code”? Those are API key and username that was used for updating the theme however since Envato has updated their API, API keys were replaced with Personal Tokens so API keys do not work.

If you are using Enfold version older than 4.5, you would need to manually update the theme to the latest version 4.6.3.1 – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/#update-via-ftp then you can generate a Personal Token – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive future updates :)

Hi,

Glad your theme is now updated. Using that Personal Token, you should be able to receive future updates.

Only way to register to our support forum is by having a purchase code and as you guessed, only way to get a purchase code is purchasing the theme. If they have provided a purchase code we could reset the account connected to that purchase code but it sounds like that is not going to be possible on their end.
