Hi all,
I had a similar ticket before and solved that problem. The last issue was the “Lock Advanced Layout Builder” was turned on.
This time I looking through and made sure that’s not the case. Here is what’s happening.
After the update, the layout builder loads the menu and I see the loading animation for a second and then it’s blank. Nothing in the page (this is an existing page with content). Then I tried dragging one of the content items like the “text item” onto the page and added text. It works fine untill I save the page. Once the page is saved, it disappears! When I switch to the default editor, nothing shows up either. No shortcodes and nothing in the code view either.
I downloaded a fresh copy and replaced all the Enfold files (using a child theme). I have also deactivated all the plugins and nothing.
Is it a cache issue?
Thanks!
Leyden

Solved the issue with emptying browser cache in Google Chrome.
On another note, is there a way to use the layout builder by default?
Thanks,
Leyden

Great, glad you got it working. The builder should show up once you have selected it the first time, so you really only have to click to select the builder the first time you start creating a page.
Thanks,
RikardApril 29, 2016 at 6:44 pm #624701Hello, I have a similar problem. When i go to edit a page it loads the default menu and I see the loading animation. The loading animation simply continues. The pages look fine to the users but I am unable to change anything now. I’m running enfold 3.5.4 and WP 4.5.1. Let me know what you all think.
Thanks,
Julian

Please try to clear your browser cache and reload the page a few times to see if that helps. You could try a different browser and/or machine as well to make sure you are not getting cached results.

It looks like the issue was a plugin. I was unable to detect it before because of saved data in my cache. Thanks for the speedy reply.Julian
