Hi folks,
One of my client sites needed a dealer locator function. I used Store Locator Plus:
Store Locator Plus plugin page
I think things were working fine pre-launch, but there have been updates since then to Enfold, WordPress, and/or the SLP plugin. The plugin is quite riddled with JavaScript errors and it doesn’t work.
I inquired about it with the plugin developer, and they said it relies heavily on JavaScript. They said the errors looked like a plugin or a theme conflict. I replicated the site to a staging area, and I started testing things. The first thing I did was activate the 2017 WordPress theme. When I did that, the errors went away and the plugin works without errors.
Here’s the live site:

And here’s a copy of that site in a staging area with the WordPress 2017 theme:

As you can see, it looks like there are JS conflicts between Enfold and this Store Locator Plus theme. I really like the Enfold theme and I would hate to use something else with this site, but the dealer locator function is something the client insists on.
Can you look at the conflict and advise? I’m open to recommendations. If there is a better plugin or method for providing that dealer locator map and dealer listing (one that doesn’t conflict with Enfold), I’d be happy to consider it.
Thank you!
Hey AJDesignCo,
as written in our support policy it would be best in this case to hire a freelance developer who can make this plugin compatible for you. You can find a freelance developer for example here: http://kriesi.at/contact/customization

Ouch. Looks like the quickest path to a solution might be to rebuild with a different theme. I have a resource I’ll check with before I jettison Enfold for this site.
Thanks for your reply.
