Hi everything works fine on desktop but when viewed on iPhone/iPad the fallback image is a strange ratio and also clicking on the image does not seem to play the video.

The video element without slider works perfectly fine though using this will make it hard to insert multiple videos without taking up too much space.

    Anyone able to assist?

Hi Eric, sorry for the late reply.

I checked your site and it seems to look fine on mobile devices. which fallback image are we talking about? Maybe I am missing something here :)

    Best regards,

    Hi Kriesi,

I actually changed the slider to single video elements as I needed to show site to some clients.

You can see what I mean by slider not playing on iphone/ipad on another site as sent in the private content.

The fallback image will show, but pressing on it does not play, nor is the play icon showing so people know it is a video. Just wanted to know if there is a setting I am missing.

Thanks so much for your help.

    Warm Regards

    Eric

    Hi,

I see what you mean. Thats actually intended behavior, the fallback image is just that: an image. it does not have any behavior attached to it. The idea is that sections with background videos are just used for pure aesthetics. If you want to make sure that videos are played on mobile devices the best way is to place a link on an image to youtube or embed them directly.

This is because mobile devices are quite different from desktop devices when it comes to handling video and to keep the experience similar across all mobile devices we went with the current solution.

    Best regards,

    Hi
we noticed the video from your demo does not work on our iPad is this because it is not embedded directly or hosted on YouTube etc?

    Hi @Nicks22,

That is the expected behaviour, auto playback of video is disabled on mobile devices due to manufacturer restrictions unfortunately.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
