    The video used to cover the screen but now scales incorrectly leaves big gaps at the top and bottom of the screen.

    Now Solved.

    For any others my issue was that there was a width and height on the video element – these used to be ignored but now seem to try and maintain an aspect ratio.

    Just delete the width & height from the video element code.
