    Hi.

Few days ago I have updated theme from 4.7.4 version to the latest one 5.1.2. I noticed some issues after update:
    – footer was overwritten by other content
    – I’m not sure here, but seams like page header was changed from “Transparent and glossy” to “No transparent” -luckily this might be changed manually and works fine after saving, but all pages must checks
    – I wanted to change size of menu – updates done in child css had no infuence on style, while updating setting in main css immediatelly show effect
    – at wordpress when I open widgets pane I got error related ‘newsbox’ – that it “doesn’t work correctly, got some error”.

Guys doing update deactivated latest theme version and reverted to 4.7.4. Next week they are going to sit down and check all issue. I wanted to gave them as many hints as possible.
I noticed your post https://kriesi.at/support/topic/missing-footer-after-updating-to-enfold-4-8-6-3-please-read-this-first/ giving already some. Is it still valid? Should I be aware of other changes ? For example in 4.9 log I see some information that custom sidebars cannot be used in block widget.

    Hey nowcio,

The login details you posted are not working, please check and verify.

It looks like you are still running the old version of the theme? If you run inte problems with the footer after the update, then please replace footer.php and header.php in your child theme with the parent theme files, if you are overriding those files. You can add your customisations back in after that.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard, I have regenerated passw. Yep, I’m back now to 4.7.2 version as it is stable – company who did the upgrade of wordpress/plugins etc. reported me mentioned problems with 5.1.2 activated so we decided to revert to 4.7.2. Regarding:
    – at wordpress when I open widgets pane I got error related ‘newsbox’ – that it “doesn’t work correctly, got some error”. – is it also related to same issue?

    Hi,

The latest versions of the theme is stable as well, but you will need to update the files I mentioned earlier.

The widget problem is a WordPress update, and the latest version of the theme will automatically implement the classic layout instead. If you want to continue using the version you are currently running, then please use a plugins like this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/classic-widgets/

    Best regards,
    Rikard
