Hi, I am using Enfold for my website in Switzerland. Now, I wanted to have an additional domain for Germany. I ordered this additional domain at my hoster and pointing it to the same directory as the existing WordPress installation, where the Enfold theme is already running fine.
Now, I want to have a few sites different for Germany. I installed the Polylang plugin and configured it to use two URLs. But this doesn’t work. Whenever I am accessing the new German domain, it immediately switches to the Swiss domain. When I use a different theme than Enfold, it works as expected.I have asked for support at my hosting provider and they say it’s an issue with the Enfold theme and I should contact you. They also tried it with a different Theme and it worked for them, but they couldn’t get it running with Enfold.
What’s wrong?

VictoriaApril 22, 2020 at 5:16 pm #1206271Hi Victoria,
I don’t know what has blocked this for you. I can get in with the support account without any issue. I have not seen that before. What do you get when you click on the “right here” link?
Best regards,
MichaelApril 23, 2020 at 7:53 am #1206458Hi Michael,
I’m getting the same screen as Victoria unfortunately, it looks like access is restricted to Germany, Austria and Switzerland? https://hilfe.udmedia.de/tipps-und-tricks/standard-schutz-fuer-angriffe-auf-wordpress-installationen-weitere-laender-freischalten/. We don’t have any moderators located in those countries unfortunately.
Best regards,
RikardApril 23, 2020 at 8:05 am #1206461Ok, I followed this and made it accessible for you now. Please try it again.
Thank you in advance
MichaelApril 23, 2020 at 10:52 pm #1206702Let me explain it more in detail, because I got portions of it working.
When I access my site with http://www.mysite.ch, it opens the Swiss site correctly.
When I access my site with http://www.mysite.com, it immediately redirects to http://www.mysite.ch – that should not happen.
When I access my site with http://www.mysite.com/de, then it stays at http://www.mysite.com/de and shows the German version as expected.
I can also use the language switcher in the header menu, and it works fine. I can switch from Swiss to German, from German to Swiss, no problem.
The only thing that doesn’t work is when I access http://www.mysite.com directly. That should automatically redirect to http://www.mysite.com/deApril 26, 2020 at 11:41 pm #1207399Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, and thanks for the login, when I check your site I get these results:
https://www.mysite.com
301 Moved Permanently
https://www.mysite.ch/
200 OKI don’t see any redirect settings on your site so I assume this is done at your server or your domain register, perhaps while you were setting this up you added a domain redirect and forgot? Or you had one but turned it off, now you still have this issue?
If you did have a redirect and turned it off, but now it’s still working, ask the support were it was set up and ask for a “DNS Flush”, this flushes the cache of the domain server. It can take a day to complete.Best regards,
MikeApril 26, 2020 at 11:56 pm #1207404Hi Mike,
thank you for your reply. But did you see my message in the private data section on my last post? There you see the real hostname. It’s not „mysite“.
Maybe that wasn’t clear?
Thanks again
MichaelApril 27, 2020 at 1:10 am #1207411Hi,
I did see the message, I only posted “mysite” above like you did because I thought you didn’t want to post the URL publicly.Best regards,
MikeMay 22, 2020 at 10:17 pm #1215329Hi Mike,
