iPad Rendering + columns

Hey guys,
In some cases i am building the page to have 3 columns 1/5 + 3/5 + 1/5
both 1/5 columns I select to be hidden on mobile devices.

However, I noted that on the IPAD in its landscape orientation the columns still appear – making the 3/5 column with content super narrow. Not the desired effect that I am after. What would you recommend with this? https://prnt.sc/lukhnj

i don’t want the global width setting of the site to be narrow, because it will just make our shopping cart encompass much less space, and it will make our blog layout to narrow.

How can I have the landscape version of the 3-column layout with ‘hidden’ selected on mobile for the 1/5 column NOT appear.
