Hi,
I’ve mentioned this one before, and it wasn’t resolved in the end. My site http://www.marssolutions.com.au works well on my mac, pc, iPad and in landscape orientation on my iPhone 5.
When in portrait mode however on the iPhone, it has missing text in some areas, such as on the home page when scrolling down it has no text for testimonials, but does have the images. Other text does appear but it’s random. Now, if I hold the phone landscape, and then go back to holding it portrait by magic all the text appears…
Is this a bug for iOS? Could you assist?
On a simliar issue iOS…(iPhone 5) on some of my pages using Special Heading, the text does not respond responsively, and you miss seeing some of the words. As in this example… http://marssolutions.com.au/business-marketing-plans/
Sorry for the long email… thanks

August 9, 2013 at 4:15 am #133655Hi, this has been done, but still makes no difference to the main issue…sadly
After further investigation…my site it does work in Safari and Chrome in iOS, but oddly not in the Google App that is mainly used in iPhone to search the web.
I know that the Google App would use Chrome, but for some reason it doesn’t show everything as I’ve outlined in the above notes. I’ve also checked your demo site, and it has the same problem as my site with this Google search App. Here’s the popular app.

Could you advise of the problem please, many thanks
August 9, 2013 at 4:40 am #133656Hi Marssolutions,
Unfortunately this will need to be pushed up to Kriesi as he is the only one with an iOS device for testing at the moment and if its happening on the demo it will need to be addressed with a theme update most likely.
Regards,
Devin

Thanks, look forward to the update.

August 9, 2013 at 7:25 am #133658One other thing…
When viewing a ‘special heading’ on an iPad in portrait mode, much of the text is either cut off, or goes under other text if there are more than say six words. I would have thought it would respond and drop to two lines and not continue as one…
Here’s an example page http://marssolutions.com.au/business-marketing-plans/
Is there something that can be done, before an Enfold update?
August 10, 2013 at 7:48 pm #133659Hey!
Unfortunately I am not able to reproduce the issue on my iphone 4. Which version of iOS are you running?
As for the special heading: I toyed with the css and came up with a better solution. since its quite extensive unfortunately I would simply recommend to wait for the update in one or two days ;)
August 10, 2013 at 11:55 pm #133660Hey Kriesi,
Thanks for the post, the iOS is 6.1.4, thanks for looking into this, look forward to the update re the special heading :-)
Great theme BTW.
August 11, 2013 at 11:33 am #133661Hey!
Hm ok, than it seems it has something to do with the iphone 5 itself since I am running the same version. Unfortunately I do not own one so it might be hard to find and fix the issue.
One more question: are the problems you are talking about also visible on our demo site?
August 11, 2013 at 10:43 pm #133662Hi Kriesi,
Yes and no, it did a few days ago, and now you’re demo site looks perfect. I’ve checked ours again and the google search app (not chrome search app, that’s fine) has chunks of text missing, an example is around our testimonials. There’s the image circle, then no text just white screen and then the title of the person giving the testimonial, scroll down and there’s text missing all over the place…
If then I rotate the phone to landscape, it works fine, rotate it back to portrait and it’s fixed itself and works fine. It’s really weird. If your site works, then mine should? I haven’t changed code or anything….strange.
Thanks,
August 12, 2013 at 2:10 am #133663Also Kriesi, I noticed on your demo site that the nav menu on mobile devices is a small nav box in the top right that expands, my doesn’t do that. I’ve got a different style of menu, What have I missed, i prefer yours.?
Cheers
August 12, 2013 at 7:36 am #133664Hey!
If it works on our theme demo and not on your site, the only Idea that comes to mind is that a plugin is messing up your site, so I would recommend to deactivate them one by one and see if anything is causing the problem.
You can change the mobile menu in your backend at Enfold->Header
Cheers!

August 13, 2013 at 1:17 am #133665OK thanks I will check out those plugins…
I found the header in the backend, but need a bit more info on how to change it please. thank you
August 13, 2013 at 3:53 am #133666Hey,
Look for “Responsive Header Main Menu”. You can select between Slideout or Dropdown mobile menu.
