Hi,
I want to ask you something. After the upgrade of my site, it is not compatible with the internet explorer 8 and 9 I guess. I accidentally saw it on my friend’s laptop. I am actually using mac. I do not see any problem on my mac pro but I have just checked with the web service below using Internet Explorer 8, 9 and 10 which is problematic and my site looks like especially a listed lines in IE 8 without any picture on it. Do you know the reason for this? The guy from codeable has done it in a task recently.
Thanks
September 29, 2016 at 11:20 am #693046Hi,
I have the same/similar compatibility problem with IE 8 on Windows. On IE 8 the webpage is not working at all and the following error message is displayed:
Meldung: Bezeichner, Zeichenfolge oder Zahl erwartet
Zeile: 1723
Zeichen: 44
Code: 0
URI: http://xxx/wp-content/themes/enfold/js/avia.js?ver=3Meldung: Objekt erwartet
Zeile: 36
Zeichen: 9
Code: 0
URI: http://xxx/wp-content/themes/enfold/js/shortcodes.js?ver=3Any idea how I can fix that?
Thanks

@ilkbaharkunduzu: Did you test this on actual IE8 browser? The site is working on an actual IE8 browser but you should see little design discrepancies compare to modern browsers due to this browser’s dated and obsolete features.
Best regards,

I do not have a pc just used the web browser mentioned. However, the mega manu for instance has a problem. You can see the look of the index page. At least part of it. Did you look at it?
There is a guy in codeable. If you tell me that something is wrong I will inform him. He completed the update.
Thanks
October 6, 2016 at 9:41 pm #696196Hey!
IE8 has been abadoned from Microsoft and that is why there might be issues.
Microsoft only supports Internet Explorer 10 and Edge browser their selfs and they do push updates to browsers
so everyone updates to a higher browser. It will be also tough for us, to manage do any fix, when there is no support from Microsoft.
We do hope you understandRegards,
Basilis -
