Hello,
I switched from using an Enfold theme (normal) to a Enfold child theme (using your downloadable zip file and import settings function). It seemed to be working fine until I tried to add a function to the function.php file in the child files. When I tried to save it, I got an internal server error (details below for moderators to see).I haven’t changed anything to do with the facebook feed plugin and I can only find custom-facebook-feed-pro in my directories (not custom-facebook-feed). I’m totally confused how to get rid of this fatal error. Can you give me any assistance please?
Many thanks.April 4, 2016 at 6:08 am #607368Hey sentinelchicken!
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
Could you please provide a link and login details to your site, so that we can have a closer look. You can place the information in the Private Content section of your reply. Also what is the code you are trying to add in the child theme’s function.php?
Best regards,
JordanApril 4, 2016 at 10:36 am #607472Hi Jordan,
Thank you for your prompt reply. Details in the private content box below.I was trying to add the following code to the functions file
add_action( ‘ava_main_header’, ‘enfold_customization_header_widget_area’ );
function enfold_customization_header_widget_area() {
dynamic_sidebar( ‘header’ );
}However, it never saved because when I tried to save it (via wordpress), I got the internal server error.
Thanks for your help.April 4, 2016 at 2:15 pm #607593Hi!
It would be the best if you contacted plugin author as the issue is regarding to their plugin and they should have better insight on what could be causing the error.
Deactivating the plugin should help. If you would like us to take a quick look, please post FTP credentials here privately as well.Cheers!
YigitApril 7, 2016 at 1:05 am #609259Hello,
I’m unable to get to the wp-admin site as that too gives an internal server error. I’ve renamed the plugin file using my ftp app but that hasn’t made any difference. Could you please take a look. I’ll put the details below.April 7, 2016 at 7:22 am #609380Hey!
Basically it is a server error and your domain name is inaccessible. In this case we cannot help you much as the issue is with the server where your domain is hosted. Please contact your hosting provider and get the site accessible. Once you are able to view anything when you goto the domain name in the browser we can surely help you from there…
Best regards,
