    Hello,

I have been experiencing an internal server error when trying to update the content of some pages (about 3 or 4 so far some all of them) on my website

I contacted our hosting company and worked out a way around it – to disable mod_security temporaily , make the update to the page, update then swtich on mod_security again.

Mod_security is reading the update to the content as an attack, so they advised me to reach out to you as the theme / page builder developer / page builder, as they said this could be the reason from looking at the error message.

The specific error message is below in private content.

Apparently there is a line in the /.git/index that is attempting to access a restricted file and triggering the security protocol.

    Hey sensiblekaren,

There is nothing in the stack trace pointing to the theme. Which pages are causing the issue?

There are no files in the theme that request the /.git/index, it can be an attack on the website.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria

Thank you. We did further investigation and found it was to be an issue with the Cassic Editor plugin that we had installed shortly after the gutenburg update a while back so we could continue to easily use Enfold’s layout editor.

We have since disabled the Classic Editor plgun it and are now using the latest version of Enfold and the default WordPress editor. things are all now looking a bit different so it’ll get some getting used to I think, but is this the officially recommended way to use Enfold now? I miss the old way but will adapt if we have to.

Please let me know your official advice.

    Thank you

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. If you want the old layout, then you can simply switch to the classic editor in the main page of the theme options.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
