I’m trying to inject this shortcode (from debug mode) into posts externally after I upload a video so I can automate my YouTube > WordPress publishing. The problem is that it injects the shortcode into the main content body of the post and the “advanced layout editor” is not enabled. So it ends up posting the shortcode within the standard blog template.
I think if I could enable the Advanced Layout Editor by default when a post is published then it would fix my problem. Is it possible to do this?
Here’s a sample of how it looks (and doesn’t work)

So there’s no way to just switch on whatever changes a “standard editor” to an “advanced layout editor” post in the theme’s functions.php or style.css file?
I can have it create a draft, manually go into the post, click the “advanced layout editor” and click publish and then it works fine.
It seems that there would be a quick and dirty way to default the post to “advanced layout editor” rather than require me to go in, click the button, and then resave/publish?
Do you at least have any idea where the toggle between basic layout and advanced layout editor setting is stored in the database / theme?
Thank you for any help or direction you can give me
April 21, 2017 at 8:49 pm #781391Hey!
I am afraid there is no automatic way to do that or a public function / hook that we do have and you will be able to use like that

BasilisAugust 12, 2017 at 9:44 pm #838031I’m not doing anything fancy but my post, which uses the Enfold Advanced Layout Editor, looks great in the preview and all funky in the published post.
Any suggestions for getting it to match the preview?

Please open a new thread and include admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

RikardAugust 13, 2017 at 4:08 pm #838245Hi Rikard,
See private content for more info about my post not looking the same preview vs published.
BTW: I’ve seen the same behavior in Chrome and Microsoft Edge.
Thanks!
–LisaAugust 13, 2017 at 4:22 pm #838248Hi,
Your Image with Hotspots is a full width element, so it is dropping down and forcing your sidebar below it. Try putting your Image with Hotspots at the top of the page, and your blog post element below it. It may still force your sidebar down. Also try disabling your plugins. I’ve seen the JetPack plugin cause the sidebar to drop below the content before too.Best regards,
MikeAugust 13, 2017 at 4:34 pm #838250Hi Rickard,
I’m not sure if you want me to create a new thread for this or not… it’s the same page, so maybe these are related: (I’m also not sure how to start a new thread…. I’m new to this forum and only see the Reply To: form. If there’s a form for starting a new thread, please point me to it.)
I have a Blog Posts element inside a 1/3 column in the Health Care post that is having issues. The Blog Posts is set to show Excerpts With Read More Link and max of 3 posts. (I only have 2 posts in this category so far.)
In both the preview and the published view, the first post excerpt in this element includes a Related section. This section does not show for the excerpt for the other post.
I would like to configure the Blog Posts element to allow hiding of the Related section for ALL posts it displays. (This would be specific to the Blog Posts element, not posts in general.) Can you tell me how to do this?

Thanks for the login details. I looked at your post and it’s the Hotspot element which is full width, meaning it will push the sidebar down. You should get the same results on a page as well, on what page did you not get the same result?
It shouldn’t matter if you are publishing a post or a page, all elements should work the same regardless.

Thanks for the feedback. I can see the problem you are describing, though I can’t reproduce it on my local installation. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.1.2) to see if that helps please? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/
