Hi I’m having a problem installing or upgrading to 4.4. If i delete enfold folder via FTP…wordpress goes back to normal. If i install an older version it works but as soon as i upgrade to 4.4. I get this error.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘[‘ in /home/mwphgl6/public_html/wp/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/google_maps/google_maps.php on line 489

    Hey Byron1906,

What version of PHP are you running on the server? It should be 5.6 or higher.

    Best regards,

Currently running 5.3. What version is Enfold compatible with? Or which do you recommend? When I update it to a higher version, will I have to reinstall Enfold?

    Hi,

5.6 is the minimum required version to run WordPress on, so I think you should consider updating. Please try to update to 5.6 or higher, you won’t have to reinstall the theme.

Upgrading the PHP version fixed it immediately – just had to hit refresh on my wp-admin page and it was good to go. Thanks!
